ScenaAdaptation was developed to analyze the risks and vulnerabilities of populations, infrastructure, municipal assets, and natural areas in the face of climate change.

In this webinar, Erik Frenette, SSG’s Adaptation Team Lead, highlights the model’s capabilities and showcase two recent case studies: Kelowna, British Columbia, and Whitby, Ontario.

The presentation covers an analysis of present-day risks and vulnerabilities, as well as two future scenarios: one based on current plans and another that includes additional adaptation measures.

Erik (he/him/il) leads multidisciplinary teams dedicated to helping cities in both the US and Canada tackle challenges related to climate change. Erik played an instrumental role in designing and creating SSG’s climate adaptation model, a tool that empowers communities to quantify and adapt to risks from current and future climate-related hazards.
