Service
We combine hazard projections, risk and vulnerability assessments, and community knowledge with scenario modelling to determine the most effective actions for preparing for climate risks. Our approach considers how climate adaptation actions can improve communities—such as by creating jobs and improving health—while preventing damage and saving lives.
Relevant Example
Using ScenaAdaptation, SSG worked with the City of Kelowna to identify and model adaptation actions based on the Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (CRVA) we conducted with the City. The outcome will define the costs, infrastructure and material damage reduction impacts, and how successful adaptation and readiness actions will be at reducing the number of people at risk.
