Developing carbon accounting frameworks

Yuill Herbert

27th October 2020

On October 22, Yuill Herbert and the City of Edmonton’s Abhishek Chakraborti teamed up to deliver a presentation on developing carbon accounting frameworks to manage GHG emissions at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Sustainable Communities Conference.

Last month, Edmonton made history by becoming the first city in Canada to incorporate a carbon budget into its city-wide plan. Yuill and Abhishek took the audience through Edmonton’s process of developing a carbon accounting framework and tool, and explained how it systematically manages GHG emissions for city operations and the community as a whole.
